Our Canadian manufacturers use only real solid wood and never particle board or MDF. Solid wood is far stronger and more versatile, allowing for a much longer life span for your furniture. All raw wood is kiln dried to reduce moisture content and prevent drying out and cracking.

All the lumber used in our Canadian, “Built-to-Order” products is farm grown in North America and never purchased from clear cutting or overseas. After the harvest, the trees are replaced to grow again for future use. Many of our suppliers are FSC certified, making these products a green, earth friendly option.

Our Canadian made furniture arrives fully assembled from the factories using time honoured techniques. With true craftsman precision each piece is built with pride to ensure it will last for generations. Using tongue and groove joinery, dovetailed drawers and ¾” real wood backings means your furniture will stand the test of time and look good doing so.

Real wood and dovetailed front and back corners are used in all Canadian made drawer boxes. This ensures they will stand up to thousands of openings and never loosen or shift. In addition, full extension ball-bearing glides, with dadoed bottoms are used on most pieces to enhance strength and durability and give that smooth high quality feel.

No expense is spared in component parts and hardware. Most tables are equipped with metal double gear glides to allow one person to insert and remove leaves with ease. Metal bed brackets are used on all bed corners for easy and solid assembly. Hinges, handles and knobs are all of high quality and hand installed to ensure correct fit and placement.

The final step on all pieces is a complete hand sanding to smooth out rough spots and edges followed by a stain, seal and laquer finishing process. This gives that rich, soft look and feel to the wood and protects it from the rigours of everyday use. These techniques ensure your piece will look great for years to come.
